January 7, 2022 - Fearless & Capable hosted an important conversation on mental health and illness and the stigmas they can hold in sport on January 4th. Joining the conversation was:

  • Bre Haberl-Kellogg a member of the 30 for 30 class with United Soccer Coaches
  • Robin Boggs Choquette, PsyD of Elite Performance Counseling

The conversation included the personal story of Bre and her journey in managing her own mental health as a youth coach and club administrator. The power of this conversation begins with the simple fact of having it. Addressing mental health management and support should not be placed behind closed doors. The dialogue we wished to role model through Bre's story detaches the stigma of mental health, acknowledges the gaps we have in understanding how to address one another as it relates to mental health, and the crucial, vulnerable action steps we must begin to take in order to create progress.

Clips from this conversation can also be found on the Fearless & Capable YouTube channel.
